2018, Travel Medicine and Infectious DiseaseCitation Excerpt :The results of this systematic review and background literature suggest that vaccination records of the migrants should be checked and if unavailable or incomplete, then vaccination should be done in accordance with age of the migrant and the vaccination schedule of the host countries and the living conditions in the refugee/migrant camp. Vaccinations to be considered should include measles-mumps-rubella, varicella, Haemophilus influenza B and a booster dose of tetanus-diphtheria-polio-pertussis [72,78]. Influenza can also be considered in view of the crowded living conditions and as additional protection against both influenza and norovirus infection, supplies of hand sanitizers should be recommended.
